The question you have to ask yourself is, do you believe in God? No one but you can answer this question. Jesus is all about Love. Love can only be given and accepted FREELY. God doesn’t force you to believe in Him but has given you opportunity to listen to what he has to say through His word, The Holy Bible.
Here is the offer spoken by Jesus from John 3:16;
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
This verse is probably the most popular verse from the Bible. Listen to what Jesus is saying here:
-FOR GOD SO LOVED THE WORLD, is God’s declaration of love for the world of which we are all inhabitants. He declares His love to all humans on this planet. Love can only be given and accepted freely.
-THAT HE GAVE HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON, declares Jesus Christ as His son and that God gave Jesus to us as a gift. A gift is something that is given freely, charitably.
-THAT WHOSOEVER BELIEVETH IN HIM SHOULD NOT PERISH, is a declaration of free will, whosoever means anybody, no discrimination. Whosoever is anybody, any race, religion or creed. Believeth in him; God doesn’t state that you must believe. It is up to you to freely accept or not.
-BUT HAVE EVERLASTING LIFE, is a declaration that your soul is eternal. Your body will die one day but your soul has everlasting life.
We have here a declaration of love to all of humanity that accepts Christ freely with a promise of eternal life. Unconditional love and salvation for anyone that accepts the offer of John 3:16. There are no mandates to be a part of any religion, church, sect, synagogue, synod, spirituality, or whatever thing man can conger up. All He asks is just believe in him, it is that simple.
Noah had no religion, no Holy Bible and no 10 Commandments, yet was the first person that God declared righteous in the Bible. He walked with God, not the world. He had a personal relationship with God. Religion is of the world, not of God.
Jesus knows the intentions of your heart;
Matthew 5:8 Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.
Mark 12:30 And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.
God knows what you need before you ask him.
Matthew 6:8 Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.
Jesus seeks a personal relationship between you and Him.
Matthew 6:6 But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.
When all else fails read the instructions; The Holy Bible.
